I’ve always had a deep love for animals, and my journey into veterinary care began in 2014 when I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse. The following year, I completed a BSc (Hons) top-up degree and spent the next nine years working in various mixed veterinary practices. During this time, I progressed to Head Nurse at a large veterinary hospital before embarking on an adventure to New Zealand with my now husband, Gary.
While in New Zealand, I continued working as a Veterinary Nurse but also had the incredible opportunity to work as a groom for a family with show jumpers and polo ponies. Preparing a string of polo ponies for matches gave me hands-on experience in conditioning and performance management, sparking a deeper interest in how movement and rehabilitation impact an animal’s well-being.

This passion led me to Auckland, where I trained under internationally renowned Debranne Patillo, completing the Equinology Certification in Equine Bodywork. It was a turning point in my career—I became fascinated by the connection between physical health, emotional wellbeing, and how we can support animals beyond traditional veterinary care.
I strongly believe in an animal-centered approach to rehabilitation and have a keen interest in animal psychology and learning theory. Since 2015, I’ve been actively involved in positive reinforcement training and love working with like-minded owners who want to strengthen their bond with their animals in a compassionate way. I’m always happy to help with training queries!

One of my most memorable experiences in New Zealand was rehabilitating a gorgeous dog who had suffered a torn cruciate ligament. Her owners had a busy lifestyle and couldn’t manage her recovery at home, so we took her in as a temporary resident until she was fully healed. She became my first successful rehabilitation case and ultimately inspired me to deepen my knowledge further. When I returned to the UK in 2019, I enrolled in a Post Graduate Diploma in Animal Physiotherapy with The College of Animal Physiotherapy (TCAP).
My passion for learning, problem-solving, and helping animals thrive continues to drive me forward. In 2023, I began training in Equine Osteopathy with the London College of Equine Osteopathy, working through this intensive and highly detailed course to expand my skills even further.
At the heart of everything I do is a genuine commitment to giving animals the best possible care. Whether it’s rehabilitation, physiotherapy, or simply helping owners understand their animals better, I go above and beyond to ensure they feel their best—inside and out.
